The Senior Content Clearance Administrator supports the Original Programming legal team.

  • Provide clearance review of advertising, publicity and promotional materials for HBO documentary programming and HBO children’s programming, including key art, promotional spots, clips, added value materials, print ads and social media assets.

  • Under the supervision of an attorney, review and advise with respect to advertising and marketing issues concerning HBO documentary programming and HBO children’s programming, including copyright, trademark, personal rights and other intellectual property issues, as well as draft and review contracts relevant to same.

  • Analyze licenses and related agreements to extract rights information relevant to photographs, footage and other creative assets.

  • Analyze individual releases to extract relevant information about approvals or other limitations.

  • Under the supervision of an attorney, prepare photography and footage license agreements, quitclaim agreements, consultant agreements, producer agreements, writer agreements, graphics/animation agreements, NDAs and related legal documents.

  • Attend and conduct regular meetings with internal HBO partners to structure and advise on all aspects of marketing campaigns, special events, and digital and social activations related to HBO documentary programming and HBO family programming.

  • College Degree or minimum of 5 years’ experience working with contracts in law firm or in-house corporate position handling corporate and intellectual property matters.

  • At least 2 years’ experience working on complex intellectual property matters and/or complex contracts.

  • Strong computer skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.

  • Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize among competing tasks and responsibilities.
