The Manager, Production Systems (MPS) reports to the Director of Production and Remote Systems (DPRS). The MPS acts on behalf of the Production Systems and Support (PSS) group as a lead administrator of production systems. This individual needs to be a front-line subject matter expert when it comes to production systems that secure the workflow of sensitive data. The candidate must have a strong working background in physical production, post-production and production accounting.

The role of this position requires excellent communication skills, coupled with a natural ability to analyze and problem solve quickly in a fast-paced environment.


  • Subject matter expert and administrator of Production Systems requiring: Close collaboration with HBO studio and show admins, White glove support for high profile show and studio executives, Training and updating other admins and departments on new product features
  • Lead administrator of: Scenchronize, GSuite, BOX, SyncOnSet, Production email, and other entertainment industry systems
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prominent filmmakers, helping to educate and match them to technologies that fit the scope, scale, security, creative, and workflow requirements of each production
  • Hold pre-production onboarding meetings with writers, accountants, producers, coordinators, and post-production teams to inform on the importance of using approved production systems for securing data
  • Maintain reports of completed production systems security meetings with shows
  • Provide ongoing support for production systems
  • Systems Administration Responsibilities: Updating systems templates and global access lists, Running audits, License management
  • Attend vendor production systems meetings to stay on top of new production technology and security enhancements
  • Maintain vendor relationships
  • Offsite Reviews: Occasional offsite reviews of writer’s rooms and home-based editors
  • Policy and Control Documentation: Assist security in updating and maintaining production security policies as related to production systems


  • 5 years’ experience of working in physical production
  • Bachelor of Arts in Communications or better in a related field
  • Technical and administrative knowledge of production systems, such as Scenechronize, SyncOnSet, email, G Suite and Box preferred
  • Familiarity with PIX, Aspera, AVID, CineSync, BOX, G Suite, Cast & Crew Payroll, TIM, Entertainment Partners Payroll, Sargent Disc Payroll, Cast It, MediaSilo, Embershot, Final Draft, Movie Magic Budgeting, Airtable, Start Paperwork Systems a plus
  • Communication Skills - The voice of a leader, good listener, positive nonverbal communication, clarity and concision, friendly, open minded
  • Have excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for problem-solving
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging production systems and technology related to the media and entertainment industry
  • Ability to meet deadlines
