Interns will be exposed to the programming side of film making and the process of pre-broadcast development. In addition, interns will provide administrative support to this department which develops, acquires, and promotes non-fiction programs and new media activity.


  • Writing coverage for documentary submissions
  • Film submission tracking
  • Assist with screening events
  • Research
  • Data entry
  • Admin Training


  • Candidate should have attention to detail and an ability to work with multiple people on separate projects.
  • Must be able to work 15 hours a week in New York City
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior


  • Applicant must have strong interest in documentaries as well as computer and analytical skills.
  • Some office experience desired but not required.

The Internship Programs are designed to offer undergraduate and select graduate students the opportunity to learn how we provide programming for the cable industry and distribute entertainment content around the world. The programs will include Orientation, Project HBO, Speaker Series, Social Activities, Learning and Development Workshops, a Farewell Lunch, and more.
