Based at the CNNIC’s offices in London you will be responsible for monetizing the WarnerMedia brands by offering its brands and partners the opportunity to associate themselves with award winning content and reach through its global pan-regional linear TV and digital network.

Reporting to the Global Director of Commercial Distribution, you will be joining the team as Sales Manager, Cruise & Special Markets and focus on the implementation of the content and licensing sales strategy across these verticals with includes sea and river cruises, merchant vessels, ferries and land transport industries.

Responsible for new revenue creation from our content (linear & digital) trough global partners and achieve the company’s ambitious growth plans for the Commercial Distribution department. Which will be achievable through driving new business with technology providers as well as direct with cruise liners, transport and maritime industries via the CNNIC commercial models offered.

What you’ll be doing:
  • 60% of time spend on - Selling WarnerMedia VOD & CNN linear and VOD content to the cruise market (ocean, sea, river) including upselling the CNN API as well as bundle all our content with the view to secure new income through existing or new cruise partners by maximising revenue opportunities and optimising performance.
    • Working closely alongside existing clients to fully understand their objectives and audiences, upselling our content where applicable.
    • Opportunity development in the cruise market with focus on partnership deals with cruise liners, river cruises, technology providers and other vendors.
    • To sell into new cruise liners and technology vendors promoting the benefits of CNNI (API, Travel Partners Programme and TVC’s) and Turner VOD content.
    • Investigating the feasibility of a dedicated ‘cruise channel’ with the Global Director Commercial Distribution and the Director of Product.
  • 15% of time spend on - Selling CNN and/or WarnerMedia content to both existing and new clients in the maritime and transport markets.
    • Working closely alongside existing clients to fully understand their objectives and audiences, upselling our content where applicable.
    • Opportunity development in these markets with focus on partnership deals with transport companies, Maritime, agencies, technology providers and other vendors.
    • To sell into new these verticals as well as technology vendors promoting the benefits of CNNI (API, Travel Partners Programme and TVC’s) and Turner VOD content.
  • 10% of time spend on Collaboration with the Marketing, Ad Sales and Commercial Distribution teams in EMEA and APAC as appropriate and attend network and promotional events to develop and maintain contact with potential clients and professional bodies including CLIA and others where appropriate.
  • 10% of time spend on - Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations across Commercial Distribution and work closely with internal team members on implementation and financial strategies.
  • 5% of time spend on Look at restructuring and redeveloping collaboration package deals for commercial distribution with local Turner offices.

What we’re looking for:
  • A track record of structuring and building profitable new businesses and the ability to operate independently whilst being part of the international Commercial Distribution team.
  • Experience selling to cruise industry is a plus.
  • Sales experience with linear and non-linear content is key, experience in broadcast distribution a major plus.
  • Technological awareness of the advances in content distribution industry specially in digital and how to capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the candidate will have strong influencing, negotiating and concept selling skills, and the ability to build and exploit sustainable relationships across Commercial Distribution, technology vendors and
  • Ability to work efficiently with different stakeholders of the business across a global network.
